[Art] Custom Cassandra POP

This is a custom of Cassandra from Dragon Age, the base used was “Jean Girard” from Talladega Nights. (I have no idea who he is, never seen that movie, but it was on clearance so I bought it for custom bait!) She does not have a lot of customization done, I added her armor and tabard, and some to her hair.

I still haven’t found the exact skin tone I want so I tried mixing two this time, not really sure it works that well but maybe she’s dirty from fighting 😉

Cullen joined her for a couple of shots. They’re probably planning a strategy.

And here she is with my other Dragon Age customs: Fenris, Raleth (elf mage Warden), and Cullen.

[Art] WiPs – Reborn Kit & Cassandra POP

Just some progress pictures of these, been working on them on and off the last few days. The reborn kit has its blushing done and I think I’m ready to start on lips and nails. Then comes the scariest part, eyebrows. This is my first kit but I think it looks okay so far! I don’t have any eyelashes or beads for weight though so it won’t be super fancy. I’ll probably give it to the middle kid because she still loves dolls.

Also there is the custom Cassandra POP. She’s pretty simple to paint, just skin tone and black so far. Going to start doing the detail on her armor soon.

[Art] Plush – Talbuk 2.0 WiP

I finished sewing the test talbuk, he’s loosely stuffed and just pinned because I didn’t want to waste stuffing. So he doesn’t look exactly as he would finished, but close. I think I’m getting pretty close with this pattern, but I want to wait a while and look at it later with fresh eyes. I think also using fur fabric (versus fleece) might help, because that is slightly less stretchy. But I don’t want to test using fur fabric unless I’m pretty sure about the pattern, because it’s a lot more expensive.

I also primed Cassandra and she’s ready to start painting. Probably will start on that this evening.

[Art] Custom FunkoPOPs – Banjo & Joker

I don’t think I will get to writing today, kids are off and I’m so anxious watching the election news I don’t think I could focus. I did finally finish up my custom dog POPs though (they were almost done). These guys were essentially just repaints, although I did alter the ears on Joker’s to be flopped down.

Banjo (orange shepherd): German Shepherd base
Joker (merle): Husky base

[Art] Custom Funko POPs – Dogs

These guys are basically just straight repaints, except I cut the ears off the Husky and made them folded over. They are going to be Joker (our current dog) and Banjo (my late dog). After several layers of base coat I think they are almost ready for detailing.

[Art] Custom FunkoPOP – Tauren

This guy used “Andre the Giant” as a base, but he had a LOT of sculpting work added. I think he’s either a shaman or a druid, not really sure. He’s not intended to be any specific character, I just wanted to practice doing something I hadn’t done before!

[Art] Custom FunkoPOPs – Valjean and Javert

I’ve been spending a lot of my free time working on these guys lately. Customizing these is really fun and I  have tons of ideas! I have more in the works as I type this, but here are the finished Valjean and Javert from Les Miserables. Their costumes are based on the stage version, in Act 2. The bases used were Sirius Black and Draco Malfoy, they had very little done in the way of sculpting, they were more or less straight repaints. But I think the result is very good!
