From Daaro’s Journal
By the blessed naaru, what have I got us into? There is far more to this business than first appeared. The blue dragon Malygos has declared nothing less than war upon those he deems unworthy, and he has gathered not only his offspring, but many former members of the Kirin Tor. These mages now serve their deranged master in hopes of being spared, I suppose, or from misguided loyalty. Malygos has gone so far as to imprison one of the noble red dragons and I can only imagine what his twisted intentions might be. The red dragons gave us passage to the snowy basin, where the war rages high above the focus of power. It streams through the ground and crackles in the air, I am certain that the blue dragons are drawing from it. I am told that the blues are attempting to re-direct the ley lines in other parts of the continent. I don’t know that this is possible, but I suppose if anyone could it would be them.
I fear for Mia’s safety in this, and at times I regret having dragged her into my foolhardy mission. She remains blissfully unaware for the most part, both of the nature of the conflict and the implications that could result from it. Or perhaps she knows more than she lets on, after all, she is no stranger to conflict. We are all the other has left in this world or any other, and if anything should happen to either of us… I don’t want to contemplate it.
